WESTFORD — On Tuesday, May 31st at 7:00 PM, Town Moderator Angela Harkness will host a demonstration of the new Electronic Voting Tabulator system proposed for adoption by Town Meeting. Article 1 of this year’s Town Meeting Warrant asks voters to approve the use of these EVTs (also known as “clickers”) to count votes when a voice vote is too close to call, cutting a process that usually takes 20 minutes down to less than 2.

Residents will have the opportunity to see how the new devices work and ask questions of the Town Moderator. The demonstration will be hosted virtually on Zoom. Sign up using the link below:

The meeting will be recorded and rebroadcast by WestfordCAT. If you can’t attend the meeting (or can’t wait until Tuesday to learn about the devices), Harkness visited WestfordCAT’s podcast studio last month to demo the new system on a special episode of “What’s New, Westford?” Residents can watch that recording here.
