WESTFORD — WestfordCAT is delighted to spotlight our four Westford Academy Capstone students, who are working with staff until gradation in June.
Melanie Duronio is spending her final month at Westford Academy on her capstone project, where she is working with Reporter Ben Domaingue to hone her newswriting, reporting and multi-media journalism skills.
A former editor for Westford Academy’s Ghostwriter, Duronio wanted to continue her writing with WestfordCAT during her transition to college.
“I really love it, I love writing,” she told WestfordCAT. “I wanted to continue doing something in journalism.”
She will be attending Mt. Holyoke College as an English major with plans to join Mount Holyoke News, the university’s student-led newspaper.
“I’d like to continue journalism with my college paper and maybe get a job as a journalist,” she said. “We’ll see what happens.”
Melanie will be graduating from Westford Academy on Friday, June 3 at 5:30 p.m.
