WESTFORD — Here’s the June 29 edition of the Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

News and upcoming events around town

Town Manager Jodi Ross announced her retirement during a June 28 Select Board meeting. She will be retiring effective Jan. 3, 2022.

The Chelmsford Art Society is hosting its 52nd annual Art Show at Chelmsford Center for the Arts. The event will be held on July 2 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., July 3 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on July 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Westford Remembers is hosting a Pie Baking Contest at Good Pickin’ Farm on Saturday, July 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first prize winner will be awarded a $100 certificate to Evviva Trattoria as well as a trophy. Participants can register here.

Important municipal dates

Municipal offices will close at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1 and reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5.

Government meetings

The Agricultural Commission will meet on Thursday, June 30 at 7 p.m.

The Healthy Westford Committee will meet virtually on Tuesday, July 5 at 6 p.m.

The Permanent Town Building Committee will meet virtually on Tuesday, July 5 at 6:30 p.m.

The Planning Board will meet virtually on Tuesday, July 5 at 9:30 a.m.

The Select Board and School Committee will meet in a virtual joint session on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m.
