WESTFORD — Here’s the June 8 edition of the Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in Westford.

News and upcoming events around town

The Parks and Recreation Committee is seeking two new members. Fill out a Citizen Activity form if you are interested.

The Westford Police Department will be hosting a family movie night featuring Encanto on Friday, June 24 at 6 p.m. Admission is free for attendees.

The exciting Strawberry ’N Arts Festival, sponsored by the First Parish Church United of Westford, is again holding its annual festival on the Westford Town Green on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from this annual church fundraiser will be used to support many outreach activities in our community. All are invited to join in this fun local event. For more information, contact the church at office@firstparishwestford.org.

Important municipal dates

Annual Town Meeting will take place on Saturday, June 11 at 9 a.m. on Westford Academy Trustees Field. In the event of bad weather it will be held the next day, Sunday, June 12 at 9 a.m. Catch up with WestfordCAT here.

Government meetings

The Conservation Commission will meet on Wednesday, June 8 at 7 p.m.

The Recycling Commission will meet on Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m.

The School Committee Policy Subcommittee will meet on Friday, June 10 at 9:30 a.m.
