WESTFORD — Here’s the July 6 edition of the Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

News and upcoming events around town

Westford Remembers is hosting a Pie Baking Contest at Good Pickin’ Farm on Saturday, July 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first prize winner will be awarded a $100 certificate to Evviva Trattoria as well as a trophy. Participants can register here.

Town Manager Jodi Ross announced her retirement during a June 28 Select Board meeting. She will be retiring effective Jan. 3, 2022.

Westford residents who own an EZPass can save 30 cents per gallon at participating Alltown locations until Labor Day with the PayByCar program. Learn more about how to register for the program here.

Important municipal dates

Trash and recycling are delayed one day this week due to the holiday according to the Recycling Commission.

Government meetings

The Affordable Housing Trust Fund will meet virtually on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 p.m.

The Communications Advisory Committee will meet virtually on Thursday, July 7 at 10 a.m.

The J.V. Fletcher Library Board of Trustees will meet virtually on Thursday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m.

The Select Board will meet virtually on Tuesday, July 12. No agenda has been posted as of reporting.

The Select Board and School Committee will meet in a virtual joint session on Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m.
