WESTFORD — Roxy, a 1-year-old female black mouth cur is this week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week.

Roxy was recently surrendered to the Lowell Humane Society.

“She’s very friendly, loves to walk. She’s good on a leash and will walk as long as you care to walk with her,” Lowell Humane Society volunteer Roger Logeman told WestfordCAT.

He continued, “we think she would be good with another dog. She’s not reactive at all, she’s really more interested in greeting and being friends with anybody.”

Logeman notes Roxy is shy and may take time to warm up to a new owner despite her active personality.

“She’s one of the easiest dogs we have to get out and leash up,” said Logeman.

Adoption hours are between Tuesday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 951 Broadway St. in Lowell. The Lowell Humane Society can be reached by phone at 978-452-7781 or by email at info@lowellhumanesociety.org. Watch the full video below.
