WESTFORD — Here’s the Aug. 31 edition of Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

News and upcoming events around town 

Westford’s annual Strategic Planning Retreat returns to Kimball Farm on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to register by Wednesday, Sept 7.

The Council on Aging is seeking a part-time van driver. The starting pay is $17 an hour. Please submit resume and cover letter by as soon as possible to: HR@westfordma.gov.

Increased water restrictions have taken effect in Westford until further notice.

Westford residents who own an EZPass can save 30 cents per gallon at participating Alltown locations until Labor Day with the PayByCar program. Learn more about how to register for the program here.

Bob Oliphant of the Westford Historical Society released the 51st episode of his Westford Wardsman podcast, where he shares the weekly Westford news with bonus information of Westford and her residents from over 100 years ago. Listen to the podcast below.

Important municipal dates

Early voting is ongoing. Residents can vote at Town Hall between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. until Friday, Sept. 2. The primary will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Special Town Meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at Westford Academy. Petition articles are due to the Town Clerk’s office by Aug. 18 at 4 p.m.

Government meetings

The Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee will meet virtually on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 7:30 p.m.
