Did You Know?  Westford resident, Heather Monahan, made over 3,000 peace cranes to memorialize the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001. The cranes were on display at the Library for many months and are now available for people to take home.  The next time you are at the Main Desk, please also take home a peace crane.

Staff Recommends: If you like autobiographies and fashion, Holly Sheridan-Pritchard recommends D.V. by Diane Vreeland. “Fashion enthusiasts, fashionistas, culture mavens, style savants and loyal admirers will adore Diana Vreeland’s autobiography, D.V. (2011). Vreeland a French-American fashion columnist and Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue editor provides a snapshot of celebrity life replete with social climbers and name-droppers. The large cast of characters, always changing spotlight and Vreeland’s adept style and originality lace her unique narrative with candor and humor.”
