Nearly halfway through season, Ghosts dominate with a number of wins

WESTFORD — Nearly halfway through the season, the Westford Academy Ghosts hosted a number of wins in the Dual County League with an overall 3-1 standing.

A recap on the season 

Westford Academy began the season strong on Sept. 9 in a crushing 44-6 victory against the Dracut Middies.

On Sept. 16, the Ghost’s first home game against the Billerica Memorial Indians, the Indians knocked off their hosts in a 32-14 win.

The Ghost’s next away game on Sept. 23 against the Concord-Carlisle Patriots saw a tight match-up, with the Ghosts cinching victory against Patriots 19-14.

In the Ghost’s most recent home game on Sept. 29, the Ghosts claimed yet another win over the Waltham Hawks in a 21-14 win.

Looking forward

The Ghosts will soon face-off against the Newton-South Lions, who currently hold 7th place in the Dual County League. The Ghosts will face the Lions on Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. at Newton-South High School.

The Ghosts will host the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors on Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. The Ghosts will also host the Wayland Warriors on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

The Ghost’s final away game will see the team face-off against the Chelmsford Lions on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.

In their final matchup in the season, the Ghosts will face the Acton-Boxborough Colonials at Westford Academy on Nov. 24 at 10 a.m.
