Northeast Mass. has been downgraded to a ‘Severe’ drought with Stage 2 water restrictions are now in effect.

National Drug Take Back Day is Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unneeded medication can be disposed of at the Westford Police Department.

Important municipal dates

Early voting began on Oct. 22 and ends on Nov. 4. The election will be held on Nov. 8 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The deadline to register to vote is Oct. 28 by 5 p.m.

Government meetings

The Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee will meet virtually on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m.

The Conservation Commission will meet on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

The Cultural Council will meet virtually on Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will meet virtually on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

The English Learner Parent Advisory Council will meet virtually on Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

The Northern Middlesex Council of Governments will meet on Oct. 28 at 9:30 a.m.
