WESTFORD — Smudgin, an approximately 1-year-old male Abyssinian guinea pig is this week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week.
Smudging was found as a stray, which is “strange” according to Matthew M., a volunteer with the Lowell Humane Society.
“He’s had a bit of a rough life,” he said. “I personally would love if someone had the patience and the time, because he’s kind of scared.”
He continued, “he’s a bit shy and scared of his surroundings.”
Smudgin would do well in a patient home with older children. Matthew M. notes Smudgin could potentially cohabitate with an existing guinea pig with a slow introduction.
Adoption hours are between Tuesday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 951 Broadway St. in Lowell. The Lowell Humane Society can be reached by phone at 978-452-7781 or by email at info@lowellhumanesociety.org. Watch the full video below.
