WESTFORD — Westford Police Department is seeking information regarding a recent car break-in and attempted car break-in.

The department received two separate reports of the incident on Jan. 3 in the areas of Pine Street and Tadmuck Road.

One incident involves an individual in a security guard jacket stealing a pair of handcuffs from an unlocked vehicle. The suspects were unable to gain entry to the second vehicle, according to the department.

“This underscores the importance of always locking your car as suspects will generally make no more effort than pulling on a door handle to see if a vehicle is unlocked to gain entry,” the department wrote on social media.

The department seeks the public’s help in identifying the two suspects involved in the incidents. Information can be directed to the Westford Police Department at 978-399-2072.
