WESTFORD — Westford’s coronavirus cases have decreased week over week according to data published by the Department of Public Health on Thursday.
Between Feb. 5 and Feb. 18, 24 positive cases have been reported in Westford. In those two weeks, Westford reported 24 positive tests, with 8.28% of 290 tests returning positive.
100,623 total tests have been administered in Westford since the pandemic began.
A total of 5,440 total cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Westford as of Feb. 23. The state has reported over 2 million total cases of COVID-19, reporting 8,300 cases in the last two weeks. 7.26% of the total 129,239 tests administered, or 9,389 tests, have returned positive.
As of Feb. 23, 90 of the 97 intensive care unit beds remain occupied in Northeastern Massachusetts, while 939 of the 961 medical and surgical beds remain occupied in the region.
As of Feb. 23, Middlesex County has reported 1,823 positive cases in the last two week period between Feb. 5 and Feb. 18. 7.35%, or 2,040 of 27,744 total tests returned positive in the county.
In the last two weeks, Middlesex County has reported 52 confirmed and probable deaths, while the state has reported 210 confirmed and probable deaths.
