WESTFORD — Here’s the Feb. 15 edition of Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

The Town of Westford released a statement regarding a proposed firearms dealer in town.

Excise tax bills have been mailed as of Feb. 7. Bills are due on March 9.

Rep. James Arciero and daughter Angelina attended the annual Ties and Tiaras event hosted by the Westford Education Foundation.

“It was wonderful to attend the Ties and Tiaras event with my daughter, Angelina, as we both had a fantastic time dancing and participating in the raffles and auctions set up at the Westford Regency Ballroom,” Arciero wrote in a statement.

“The event was in support of the Westford Education Foundation, as I appreciate the work and grants the foundation has provided to Westford Public Schools over the years to help students receive the quality education they deserve.”

The Ties and Tiaras event supports the Westford Education Foundation, an independent non-profit organization that promotes innovative educational initiatives and champions life-long learning.

National Grid continues trimming trees and vegetation in select areas. Impacted areas include Concord Road from Littleton Road to 74 Concord Rd. and from Powers Road to Littleton Road, Flagg Road from Kelly Road to 21 Flagg Rd., Hildreth Street between Concord Road and Dove Lane, Wright Lane, Phillips Drive and Howard Road.

The Board of Assessors will meet Feb. 17 at 9 a.m.

The Council on Aging will meet Feb. 15 at 4 p.m.

The Cultural Council will meet virtually Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.

The Economic Development Committee will meet Feb. 16 at 8:15 a.m.

The Finance Committee will meet virtually Feb. 16 at 7 p.m.

The Miller School Advisory Council will meet virtually Feb. 15 at 6 p.m.

The Northern Middlesex Council of Governments will meet virtually Feb. 15 at 7 p.m.

The Pedestrian Safety Committee will meet virtually Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

The WA School Council will meet Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet Feb. 15 at 7 p.m.
