WESTFORD — A winter storm advisory is in effect in the region, with a storm system packing up to six inches in Westford Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
Three to six inches of total snowfall accumulation is possible throughout the region. Snow totals will vary by elevation, with accumulation of up to 10 inches expected above 1,500 feet.

Travel will be difficult after midnight and impact the Tuesday morning commute. Rising temperatures and lighter snow will result in road conditions improving Tuesday afternoon.
Westford schools will be closed on Tuesday morning. Nashoba Valley Technical High School will be closed tomorrow. The high school has also cancelled its evening classes.
Power outages are possible. The Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency recommends impacted residents charge their devices.
Two additional storms are expected to impact the region, with rain and gusty winds on Thursday and a larger storm with a wintry mix expected Friday into Saturday.
The advisory is scheduled to end at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
