WESTFORD — Westford’s coronavirus cases have increased week over week according to data published by the Department of Public Health on Thursday.
Between Feb. 19 and March 4, 17 positive cases have been reported in Westford. In those two weeks, Westford reported 18 positive tests, with 7.69% of 234 tests returning positive.
100,862 total tests have been administered in Westford since the pandemic began.
A total of 5,460 total cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Westford as of March 9. The state has reported over 2 million total cases of COVID-19, reporting 5,654 cases in the last two weeks. 5.84% of the total 112,503 tests administered, or 6,568 tests, have returned positive.
As of March 7, 77 of the 89 intensive care unit beds remain occupied in Northeastern Massachusetts, while 889 of the 912 medical and surgical beds remain occupied in the region.
As of March 2, Middlesex County has reported 1,249 positive cases in the last two week period between Feb. 19 and March 4. 6.01%, or 1,403 of 23,803 total tests returned positive in the county.
In the last two weeks, Middlesex County has reported 35 confirmed and probable deaths, while the state has reported 172 confirmed and probable deaths.
