WESTFORD — A GoFundMe has raised $60,860 for Olivia Ennis, a 3-year-old resident diagnosed with Leukemia.

The fundraiser was organized by Jen Troester, aunt to Olivia and sister to Rebecca Ennis, Olivia’s mother. 824 donors have contributed to the fundraiser at the time of reporting.

“NO parent should have to face this, and NO parent should have to worry financially if they do,” wrote Troester.

She continued, “let’s help take that burden away, so Becky and Steve can concentrate on not only fighting with Olivia but making sure sweet Asher is taken care of, as well,” she wrote.

Funds will be used to pay for treatment, lost wages and travel.

“Becky won’t be able to work while Olivia goes through treatment, and staying in-patient long term, as well as traveling back and forth to Boston (plus dealing with whatever insurance won’t pay, because, America), will take a steep financial toll.”

According to an update by Troester, Olivia is fighting a respiratory virus while undergoing chemotherapy.

Troester can be reached at jentroester@gmail.com.
