WESTFORD — Westford’s coronavirus cases have decreased week over week according to data published by the Department of Public Health on Thursday.

Between April 9 and April 22, 8 positive cases have been reported in Westford. In those two weeks, Westford reported 8 positive tests, with 4.88% of 164 tests returning positive.

101,573 total tests have been administered in Westford since the pandemic began.

A total of 5,509 total cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Westford as of April 27. The state has reported over 2.03 million total cases of COVID-19, reporting 2,242 cases in the last two weeks. 3.04% of the total 87,627 tests administered, or 2,661 tests, have returned positive.

As of April 25, 80 of the 95 intensive care unit beds remain occupied in Northeastern Massachusetts, while 885 of the 923 medical and surgical beds remain occupied in the region.

As of April 27, Middlesex County has reported 546 positive cases in the last two week period between April 9 and April 22. 3.26% or 628 of 19,271 total tests returned positive in the county.

In the last two weeks, Middlesex County has reported 6 confirmed and probable deaths, while the state has reported 25 confirmed and probable deaths.
