SUMMARY:Brandenburg & Beyond
DESCRIPTION:Brandenburg and Beyond is a New England-based chamber ensemble featuring combinations of flute\, strings and harpsichord. The Ensemble’s musicians hail from all over New England and teach at universities and play in professional orchestras. From them you can expect music from the Baroque era to the modern day including an 18th century Flemish style harpsichord at all performances! Brandenburg and Beyond has performed on the Silver Center for the Arts Series at Plymouth State University\, the Faculty Series at the Manchester Community Music School\, Jimmy’s Jazz and Blues Club\, the York Public Library Concert Series\, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Londonderry (NH)\, St. John’s Episcopal in Portsmouth (NH). Their mission is to bridge the boundaries that separate Baroque and classical music from modern day influences\, making the old new again! Think of Bridgerton meets James Bond! You can hear sample recordings of our performances at www.brandenburgandbeyond.com. \nThis is a Classical Series matinee concert. Seating will be in recital format (all seats facing forward). Though if you would like to enjoy refreshments as part of your experience\, call the box office to reserve a table (4 people or more\, please).

SUMMARY:Carolyn Plummer w/Greg Boggis (Comedy)
DESCRIPTION:Carolyn Plummer has been doing comedy professionally for over 20 years. She has traveled extensively (and to many parts of the country few have dared to venture). She has worked at clubs\, colleges\, dead animal lodges\, theatres and corporations appearing with many of the top headliners in the business\, as well as participating in numerous festivals including the Burbank Comedy Festival (where she was named Best of the Fest). Plummer performed at Denis Leary’s ‘Comics Come Home 26’ at the TD Garden for the Cam Neely Foundation\, and also won the Woody Herman Jazz Award for her trumpet playing… though you probably won’t see that during this gig. \nA staple of the New England comedy scene\, Greg Boggis is an actor\, print model\, writer\, frequent contributor to the Atlas Obscura and comedy show producer with almost 20 years of experience. In that time he has appeared on stage from rural South Carolina to coastal down east Maine\, in dozens of TV commercials\, radio shows\, print and internet ads\, and in such major films as The Boondock Saints\, Fever Pitch and Clear History with Larry David. He was honorably mentioned in The Hippo in their Best of 2017\, and Boggis Comedy at Fody’s Tavern was featured by Best Things NH in their top five places for comedy! \nPG-13. Doors open 7pm; 7:30pm show. Bring your own food & drinks. Cabaret seating.

SUMMARY:The Love Dogs
DESCRIPTION:Audience favorites The Love Dogs formed in Boston in 1994 and include lead vocalist/percussionist Ed Scheer\, pianist Alizon Lissance\, saxophonists Myanna and Rob Lee\, bassist Steve Monahan and drummer Steve Brown.. Take one red-hot horn section\, down and dirty. Add liberal amounts of barrelhouse boogie-woogie piano and stinging Fender guitar. Pour over a funky and swinging rhythm section that Blues Review magazine called “the best in the business\,” and top it all off with a crazy and charismatic front man with one of the biggest blues voices around. Season with a few years on the road tearing up juke joints\, festivals and concert halls across the U.S. and Canada and on both sides of the Atlantic. Sound tasty? It’s a recipe for music and mayhem\, for intensity and irreverence; it’s THE LOVE DOGS! Doors open 7pm; 7:30pm show. Bring your own food & drinks. Cabaret seating. Dancing in the Gallery.
