The Westford Board of Health has issued a release on a recall from two Connecticut milk companies.

Fish Family Farm of Bolton, CT is voluntarily recalling its Whole Milk, 2% Reduced Fat Milk, Fat Free Skim Milk, Chocolate Milk and Pasteurized Heavy Cream with a sell by date of 6/23/14.

The release also announced a recall by Shadow Valley Farms’ Whole Milk, 2% Milk, Fat Free Milk and Chocolate Milk, also with a sell by date of 6/23/14.

This recall came as a precautionary measure due to potential peanut and tree nut allergens placed accidentally in these products.

Consumers are urged not to consume these products and to destroy the products or return them to the retailer where purchased for a refund and may contact the company at 1-860-646-9745.
