The National Weather Service in Boston issued a heat advisory in effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20. The chance for severe thunderstorms will also increase on Wednesday afternoon as a cold front moves into the region, bringing a risk for downpours, gusty winds and a slight risk for hail.
