The Town of Westford operates 110 buildings counting from its schools and fire stations to small sheds and water pumping facilities.

In the Spring of 2013, Town Meeting voters approved $150,000 for a study to determine the status of over 20 of those facilities.
That study was revealed on Thursday evening to an array of local officials with a series of recommendations on items that need to be addressed.
Most were considered minor, but on the list

there was $1,443,032 in items that were considered “currently critical”, primarily abatement for potential asbestos inside the Abbot and Day Schools.
Here’s a list of the facilities in the study that had some items listed with a critical need and the amount it would cost to address that need.
A full copy of the study is expected on the town website on Friday or Monday, a video of the event will also be available from Westford CAT*
