Veronica Pecora of Westford has been selected as a June Student of the Month at Nashoba Valley Technical High School.
Veronica, daughter of Jim and Jeanie Pecora, recently finished her junior year in the Early Childhood Education program, where she is one of the top students. She is a high-honors student and was selected to be a Kick-Off Mentor, helping incoming freshmen adapt to Nashoba Tech. Veronica is in the school chorus and was inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
During the school year, she worked full time, every other week, at Next Generation Children’s Center in Westford through Nashoba Tech’s Cooperative Education program. She plans to attend college upon graduation to continue her studies in Early Childhood Education. Veronica was also named an Athlete of the Month in April for her performance with the spring track team.
Veronica was nominated by Early Childhood Education Instructors Colleen Hogan-Mazzola and Brooke Mackintosh, who wrote: “Veronica always gives her best, is an excellent student and won a gold at the SkillsUSA District Competition. She is a Cooperative Education student whose supervisor is extremely pleased with her work ethic. Veronica is already an amazing early educator with a very promising future.”
