State Representative James Arciero recently joined with the third, fourth and fifth grade students of the Norman E. Day Elementary School to celebrate the 50th birthday of the school’s opening.

As part of the festivities, Representative Arciero sponsored an Ice Cream Social featuring vanilla, chocolate and chocolate chip ice cream from local favorite Kimball Farm for the nearly 400 children.

In addition, to servicing ice cream to the students, Representative Arciero spoke about his time at the Day School and presented Principal Kevin Regan with a House Citation to mark the special occasion.

Volunteering to serve the students were Westford residents Shelagh Brady and Patti Mason.
