The following information was provided by the Westford Police Department.

July 12, 7:37 a.m. – An individual with the Westford Recreation Department reported that she saw a man using the Stony Brook School tennis courts for unauthorized tennis clinics.

When she told the man to leave, he did, but a few minutes later he was spotted at the Robinson School tennis courts with more clients.

Anyone can use the courts for personal use, but those seeking to use them for a business venture must obtain a permit.

The man was discovered by police, who informed him about the permitting policy.

July 12, 8:09 p.m. – An officer was dispatched to Tyngsboro Road after reports of a motorcycle crash.

Upon arrival, several people flagged down the officer and directed him to a man who was lying on his back in the middle of the road.

The man was wearing a motorcycle helmet, was conscious, alert and breathing. Kneeling next to him was a woman, keeping him stable.

After requesting paramedics, the officer talked to two men nearby who said they were riding their motorcycles behind this man.

They were traveling southbound and rounded the corner by Flushing Pond Road. That’s when a kickstand on the lead motorcyclist’s vehicle hit the ground, leading to sparks.

The lead motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and veered into the northbound lane, narrowly missing an oncoming vehicle that swerved out of the way. According to the woman, the lead motorcyclist flew off the vehicle, corroborating everything else that was said.

At this point, paramedics and several other officers and detectives arrived on the scene.

One detective noticed a yaw mark at the corner by Flushing Pond Road that was consistent with the story told by the two men.

Additional evidence on the ground indicated that the motorcycle may have been going faster than the speed limit.

A medflight evacuated the injured motorcyclist. A citation was pending based on an investigation by the Massachusetts State Police.

July 12, 11:15 p.m. – An officer was dispatched to Hildreth Street after reports of a suspicious incident.

The woman who called police reported that her son’s car alarm had gone off three times in the past three days for no apparent reason.

Although nothing had been stolen, she wanted to report the incident.
