Gregory Szypko is section leader for the WA marching band’s front ensemble.  During band camp week he put together several instruments, installed wheels on timpani and gracefully lead his section to learning all three movements of this year’s halftime show.  He is responsible for lugging his equipment and that of his peers to and from the turf field for every rehearsal and performance.

Greg does all of this with a positive and selfless attitude.  He is an outstanding musician who constantly pushes himself to nail difficult passages. Just when I think we have found the one sextuplet run he can’t do, he figures it out.  He is very well respected by the other members of his section and by his music directors.  An all-around awesome student and exemplary Westford Academy musician

Nicholas Diamond

Nicholas Diamond, son of Mr. & Mrs. Gregg Diamond was named Student of the Month for September.  Mr. Bill Bombaci, Nicholas’s, nominated his in the area of Athletics.  Mr. Bill Bombaci writes:

Nicholas returned to football this year after a difficult surgery to his ACL late last year.

He has been a full participant since pre season began and to this point has been one of the real leaders on our Westford Academy football team.

Nick worked very hard before his surgery to prepare himself for the recovery that would be ahead of him.  I also worked with Nick 3-4 times per week leading up to his surgery and he did everything that his doctor and I asked of him so that he would be ready to return to the WA Football team for his senior year.

Nick Diamond has been a force on the field and has lead our football team to a great start.

Jennifer Bugos

Jennifer Bugos, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Bugos was named Student of the Month for September.  Ms. Lea Bloch, Jennifer’s Guidance Counselor, nominated her in the area of Academics.  Ms. Bloch and Jennifer’s teachers write.

Jennifer is simply a pleasure to have class!  She is polite, she participates, she is willing to put in the extra effort to improve her grade, and to top it all off, she always has a smile on her face.”  This is true for all of Jenny’s classes.  She comes to class full of energy, ready to learn, and happy to participate in discussions.
