Construction on the Westford Academy track is nearing the finish line this month.

The new facility at Alumni Stadium at Trustees Field offers high jump, long jump, and pole vault.

The project was funded in part with $700K from the town’s Community Preservation Committee. Also fueling it were mitigation funds provided by the developers of Summer Village along Long Sought For Pond, as well as a GoFundMe account.

“So it’s been really a community effort,” said WA Principal James Antonelli. “…The entire community is going to benefit from this because anybody can use the track at Westford Academy.”
