The public is welcome to participate in two Christmas Eve candle lighting services on Monday, Dec. 24 at the First Parish Church United.

The first service begins at 4 p.m. It is child friendly.

The second service begins at 11 p.m., offering music, carols, and lessons. Just before midnight the church will go silent and dark. But as the bells toll, worshipers sing “Joy to the World.”
