As the saying goes, “One person’s junk is another’s treasure.” That holds true at WestfordCAT where an electronics, metal waste and appliance collection raised $1879 on August 14 — the day of the scheduled collection.
Volunteers, staff and board members were on-hand throughout the collection day. Approximately 40 cars came to the event. There was no-waiting to unload. The dumpster was provided by Eli’s Yard Services of Westford. Collected materials are brought to a recycling center.
Ongoing collection at WCAT:
Appliances, metals, household electronics and all kinds of batteries are being collected on an ongoing basis by WestfordCAT. To schedule an appointment call the station at 978-692-7152, donations to WCAT are tax deductible.
