WESTFORD — Here’s the Sept. 28 edition of Wednesday Whiteboard, where WestfordCAT highlights important dates and events during the week in and around Westford.

News and upcoming events around town 

The Town of Westford is looking for responses to its two surveys. One survey involves a new multi-family zoning requirement for MBTA and MBTA adjacent communities. The second survey involves a proposed change to the zoning bylaws that would allow for additional commercial zoning uses. Both surveys will close on Oct. 14.

Increased water restrictions have taken effect in Westford until further notice.

Bob Oliphant of the Westford Historical Society released the 57th episode of his Westford Wardsman podcast, where he shares the weekly Westford news with bonus information of Westford and her residents from over 100 years ago. Listen to the podcast below.

Important municipal dates

The J.V. Fletcher Library is hosting a showcase for its expansion project on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Learn more about the project here.

Special Town Meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022 at Westford Academy. The deadline to register to vote is Friday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m.

Government meetings

The Clean Energy and Sustainability Committee will meet virtually on Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Its Roadmap to Net Zero Subcommittee will meet virtually on Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m.

The Robinson School Advisory Council will meet on Sept. 28 at 3:30 p.m.

The Conservation Commission will meet on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee will meet virtually on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

The School Committee will meet Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. A virtual option is available.

The Town and School Safety Task Force will hold a virtual joint meeting with the Select Board on Oct. 3 at 1 p.m.
