Cynthia McMahon King, Westford Resident

Dr. Raymond Xie was born and raised in Chongqing, China. He graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing and went to Canada to further his education after he witnessed the protests and massacre in Tiananmen Square in 1989. He knew then he did not want this government for his future. When he came through customs he had $150 in his wallet. As a first generation legal immigrant he studied hard and earned his PhD in industrial engineering specializing in computer communications. He moved to Westford in 2000 and has lived in town for 22 years. He is married to Gail Xiang and has 2 adult children 22 and 18 years old. He has spent the last 10 years working for an energy management company as a product and marketing manager.

Energy: Dr.Xie recognizes the hardships that many people of the Commonwealth face this winter and the prospects of “blackouts”. He offers a series of alternative fuels implemented at a pace that is not harmful to residences and businesses. At this time 85% of our energy comes from fossil fuels. Even Elon Musk disagrees with the timeframe which states like California, MA and the Biden administration has set. The current policy throws the baby out with the bath water.

Freedom of Medical Choice: Dr.Xie believes in medical freedom. It is a decision of the individual and the parent in the case of children.

Vaccines: Jim Arciero wants Covid 19 vaccines to be mandated for school children as early as 6 years old.

The Supreme Court of NY wrote in its recent ruling that the vaccine is ineffective in preventing a person from getting and from spreading the virus. Children have a 0.25% or lower morbidity rate. The 7 pages of side effects from the Pfizer vaccine verses the benefits should be weighed by the discretion of the parent not the state/government.

Sex, Lifestyle Education: Dr.Xie supports parents educating their children about sex and lifestyle.

Jim Arciero said in his debate with Dr.Xie that he supports counter lifestyle educational programs and would push for accommodations for transgender persons and LGBTQ community.

Question #4. Dr.Xie says No. Illegal immigrants should not  be given drivers licenses.

Less than 15% of law enforcement support this law that will take effect in June 2023.

There is a 15-30% increase in accident/ fatality rate in states that have passed this. In MA unless you op-out you are automatically registered to vote. This law will allow non-citizens to be on our voting rolls. Jim Arciero voted YES on question 4.

Questions #!. Dr.Xie votes NO to higher taxes. If passed the law will raise taxes on home sales ,small businesses, inheritance money and more. It is a graduated tax that will end up effecting EVERY taxpayer not only millionaires. There is no guarantee these monies will be used for education and roads as stated and the current administration has already allocated money for these.

Jim Arciero voted for higher taxes and cosponsored this bill.

Energy costs, inflation, education, medical choice are on the ballot. How is your 401K doing, the cost of your groceries, gas? Were you happy with the lock downs? Was your work, business or child’s education effected? It’s time for a change. It’s time to vote for Dr.Raymond Xie as your next state representative. Learn more at www.raymondxie.org.
