WESTFORD — Dr. Phil, a 5-year-old male Siberian Husky is this week’s Adoptable Pet of the Week.

“He is looking for a home with someone who has had a lot of husky experience in the past,” Emilia, a volunteer with the Lowell Humane Society told WestfordCAT. “He does have some husky behavior, it does include a required training deposit.”

Dr. Phil was originally found as a stray.

“Because of his background, we’re unsure of the training he has had in the past,” she said. “He does know his name, he knows sit, he’s good a temperament.”

She continued, “he is very eager to learn and very food motivated, and with food motivation comes some resource guarding.”

She recommends Dr. Phil be placed in a house in a household without any other small animals. She recommends an adult-only home.

Adoption hours are between Tuesday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 951 Broadway St. in Lowell. The Lowell Humane Society can be reached by phone at 978-452-7781 or by email at info@lowellhumanesociety.org. Watch the full video below.
