Carol Morse and Jim O’Connell, Westford Climate Action

One of the central goals of Westford Climate Action is engaging and supporting our youth in their understanding and action in the area of climate change and sustainability.

At the December 5th School Committee meeting, the Stony Brook Middle School Environmental Leadership Club and alumni gave a well researched and informative presentation on greenhouse gas emissions and solid waste in their school and recommendations to improve sustainability.

We applaud their initiatives and urge more students and residents to learn about this urgent issue and take action in our community.

We would also like to thank WestfordCAT’s Ben Domaingue for his excellent coverage of the meeting.
