WESTFORD — The Town of Westford is seeking a new Assistant Town Manager.
Former Assistant Town Manager Eric Heideman, originally hired for the role in 2016, resigned on Dec. 11, according to Town Manager Kristen Las.
Las was unable to disclose the reason for Heideman’s departure.
Heideman was not immediately available for comment at the time of reporting.
A job listing was posted on Dec. 19 outlining several budgetary responsibilities, including for the General Insurance, General Government, Animal Control and Veteran’s budgets.
“The position requires a high degree of professionalism, extensive administrative abilities, and a thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and delivery of municipal administration.,” the job description reads. “Errors in judgment could be costly, difficult to detect, and could have an adverse impact on the Town, cause poor public relations, and have serious legal repercussions and financial ramifications.”
The role pays between $113,911 and $142,388 per year based on a FY22 salary band schedule. Before Heideman’s departure, $146,954 was budgeted for the role in FY24.
