Letter to the Editor: Support for Noëlle Donovan

Letter to the Editor: Support for Noëlle Donovan

Erika Lanier, Westford Resident

I am writing to share my support for Noelle Donovan for Select Board. Noelle is a longtime Westford resident with a deep love for this community and a track record of service—she’s been a dedicated member of the Conservation Commission, working to protect our green spaces and ensure a healthy environment for all of us.  I first met Noelle through our shared love and concern for the woods across from Edwards beach.  As part of the Conservation Commission, she works to ensure these spaces are protected for all to appreciate and enjoy – but it is also true to who she is as a person.

Noëlle brings thoughtfulness, kindness, and compassion to everything she does. As a mom of an elementary student, she supports strong schools – with an understanding that we need to ensure our most vulnerable students have what they need.  She supports diversity and recognizes that building a strong, connected community means making sure everyone feels seen and heard.  She also brings deep compassion to her work—her background in hospice care has shaped the way she thinks about community, especially how we care for our seniors.

My son grew up here – Nab through WA – and I’m proud to have sent him into the world as a WA grad.   And Noëlle is exactly the kind of person I want helping to shape Westford’s future going forward, with a child of her own in the Westford school system. She represents the understanding of our community needs – both school level and senior level – that I deeply believe we need represented on [the] Select Board.
