WESTFORD — The Town of Westford hosted its first-ever Monster Mash on Main Street, a family-friendly Halloween celebration that brought together local organizations for an afternoon of festivities.
The event, co-sponsored by Roudenbush, the Town of Westford, and the Westford Police Department CARES Team, kicked off at 1 p.m. on Saturday at 65 Main Street.
Assistant Town Manager, Mike Edwards said, “The Town was really excited to be able to partner with TRCC on Monster Mash. It was a great opportunity to reinvigorate
a longstanding partnership to benefit our community. The staff did a great job working with the TRCC team, and we’re looking forward to building on this success for future events and programs, as this provides a perfect alignment with our Strategic Plan objectives.”
An estimated 750-1,000 costumed revelers—ghouls, goblins, pirates, princesses, witches, and an assortment of fanciful beasts and favorite characters—turned out for the celebration on a picture-perfect afternoon.Activities included a costume parade that departed at 2 p.m. for the Town Hall Trunk or Treat, followed by games hosted by local Girl Scouts and a Touch-a-Truck experience. WestfordCAT showcased their newly acquired media production van as part of the Touch-a-Truck feature. The town also featured a Story Walk for young readers.
Food trucks were on-site, including Twizted Pickle, Egg Roll Café, and Westford Bakery. The first 250 attendees received complimentary goody bags, courtesy of Alcorn and Owens, along with free Halloween bags.
