WESTFORD — The Boston Road detour will end for the season on Monday.
Effective Dec. 1, the Boston Road detour will end for the winter and will start up again in April 2026, the town said this week in a news release.
When construction begins again in the spring, activities will continue Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, during which Boston Road will be reduced to a single lane of alternating traffic as needed.
However, the traffic signals that have been placed at the intersections of Main Street with Depot Street and Tadmuck Road will remain fully operational throughout the winter and for the full duration of the Boston Road Reconstruction Project.
Residents are reminded that the 25 MPH speed limit on Boston Road will be strictly enforced, and to expect delays, reduce speeds, and to use caution when traveling within the construction zone.
