WESTFORD — The Select Board on Tuesday is slated to have joint discussions with the School Committee about a Power Purchase Agreement for Blanchard, hear updates from the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, and other agenda items.
DEI Committee Update
In a joint session with the School Committee, board members will receive an update from DEI Committee Co-Chairs Joe Diamond and Anjali Rajput. They will consider a request to restructure the DEI Committee and appoint new members.
Power Purchase Agreement
The two boards will also review a proposed Power Purchase Agreement with Ameresco, Inc. to install a roof-mounted solar generation system at Blanchard Middle School. The project was authorized by voters at the Oct. 27 Special Town Meeting under Article 11.
Assistant Town Manager of Strategic Operations Mike Edwards will present the agreement, which includes School Committee authorization to lease space for the system and storage. The Town Manager is seeking approval to finalize and execute all documents on behalf of both boards.
Pay-As-You-Throw Update
Edwards will also provide an update on the town’s Pay-As-You-Throw program, with the board expected to act on recommendations.

Residents may attend the meeting in person in the Town Hall at 55 Main Street at 7 p.m. Residents may also participate remotely via Zoom.
