WESTFORD — A runaway goat was captured from the streets of Westford, after it escaped from its property on Saturday.
The goat was first spotted by Westford residents in a neighborhood near Boston Road around 3 p.m. Saturday.
According to one resident who posted about the runaway goat in the Westford Friends & Neighbors Facebook group, there was a man on Kings Pine Road searching for the goat Saturday afternoon.
The resident also shared a photo of the runaway goat, urging other residents to call the Westford Police Department non-emergency line to make a report about the lost animal.
According to the resident, the goat was found in a driveway, which was around two hours after it was first reported to be missing.
The resident said the goat “began to balk” as it was approached in the driveway, but its pursuer was “too fast”.
It was later confirmed by Westford Animal Control that the goat was captured and in their custody, after it was seen by residents in the area of Providence Road and Court Road, who made multiple reports to animal control officers.
