WESTFORD — Nashoba Valley Technical High School hosted its annual career fair on Feb. 6, offering students the opportunity to connect directly with local employers and professionals as they prepare for future careers.
The event featured students from 18 technical programs, including automotive technology, health assisting, engineering, cosmetology, carpentry, culinary arts, and other vocational pathways offered at the school. The fair is designed to introduce students to a wide range of career options while helping them practice professional communication and networking skills with real-world employers.
Students were able to ask questions, explore different industries, and learn about job, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities available to them.
Employers and organizations from a variety of industries participated in the event, with representatives from Emerson Health Urgent Care, the U.S. Navy, the Massachusetts Division of Apprenticeship Standards, Denommee Plumbing, HVAC & Electric, Fitchburg State University, Tufts Medicine Lowell General Hospital, the Ayer Fire Department, Crane Currency, Habitat for Humanity, and the National Aviation Academy were among those in attendance.
Local businesses participated by hosting informational tables, sharing details about career paths within their industries, and engaging with students who were in attendance. The event also allows employers to build relationships with future employees.
The collaboration between the school and the surrounding businesses in the community at the annual career fair reflects a commitment to student education and success, and support for local businesses.
