WESTFORD β€” A longtime employee of the Nashoba Valley Ski Area passed away on Monday.

Randy Wood, who worked as a mechanic at the ski area, died on Feb. 9 at the age of 59.

According to his obituary, Wood was a graduate of Nashoba Valley Technical High School and dedicated over 30 years of service as a mechanic at the ski area, where he was known for his skill, reliability, and deep love of the mountain.

Wood’s funeral service will take place on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rochette Funeral Home in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Friends of Wood also created a GoFundMe to help his wife Jackie deal with the funeral and memorial expenses.
