Mayleen Ruth Kelley, 66, passed away at home on Thursday, March 5. She was the wife of Stephen P. Kelley.  The couple  would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary this May.

She was born in Winchester, Ma, the daughter of the late William and Sylvia (Sullivan) Sullivan. Mayleen  earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fitchburg State College.

Mayleen was a well-known librarian who worked at the J.V. Fletcher Library in Westford and previously at the Chelmsford Public Library. She enjoyed reading and doing puzzles and was a longtime resident of Chelmsford.

In addition to  her husband, she is survived by her son, Jake Kelley of North Chelmsford; her daughter, Kara Kelley of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Moira Sullivan of Watertown and Patricia McNulty and her husband Paul of Georgia; and three brothers, Robert Sullivan and his wife Anna of, Georgia, Paul Sullivan and his wife Mary of Brockton,, and Daniel Sullivan and his wife Jana of Hingham,. She was predeceased by her brother, William Sullivan Jr. Mayleen also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex Street, also in North Chelmsford.
