WESTFORD — Roudenbush Community Center has released “Under The Arch,” featuring a variety of classes and events for children and adults as the spring season approaches.

After several snowstorms and frigid temperatures in recent weeks, we have a beautiful Monday with temperatures in the 60s. With spring seemingly on the way, Roudenbush is offering a lineup of youth enrichment programs, sports activities, creative arts and adult workshops.

First on the list, is a St. Patrick’s Day themed Friday Fun Club on March 13. The event, open to children ages 3 to 7, runs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 65 Main St. Children will enjoy story time, crafts and a snack. Activities include reading “How to Catch a Leprechaun,” making green slime and building a leprechaun trap. Children are encouraged to wear green for the event. The registeration costs $25.

For younger children and their caregivers, Roudenbush will host “Big and Little Dance” classes beginning March 14. The six-week session introduces young children to dance fundamentals while building listening skills, following directions and taking turns. The program runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. through April 18 and is open to children ages 18 months to 2.8 years with a parent or caregiver. Classes are held at 313 Littleton Rd. in Chelmsford and cost $140 for the sessions.

Young artists can participate in “Paint With Me” Mondays, a weekly program for children ages 3 to 5 that runs through March 23 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Roudenbush will also host an adult-friendly “Spring Is In The Air Paint Night” on March 20 at 7 p.m. During the evening, an instructor will guide participants step-by-step through creating their own painting. The event costs $38 and is open to a variety of ages.

The community center is also offering youth fitness classes led by instructor Ben Stanley. “Mr. Ben’s Sports and Fitness” introduces children ages 5 to 10 to a variety of sports and games through structured movement and play. The weekly Friday class runs from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. through April 17 and costs $140.

Stanley also leads a 45-minute class for younger children on Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 10 a.m., combining upbeat music with activities that teach fundamental athletic and life skills. Additional youth sports and basketball classes are also available.

Looking ahead, Roudenbush will host its Spring Market on April 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at 65 Main St. The event will feature more than 35 local vendors offering handmade crafts, locally sourced goods, plants, fresh foods and seasonal gifts.

Visitors to the market can also participate in a plant swap, where gardeners can trade plant cuttings, share seedlings and learn about gardening. Activities will include painting mini birdhouses, planting seedlings to take home and exploring a seed library.

Additional spring offerings at Roudenbush include pottery workshops, traditional Pysanky and Krapanky eggs decorating workshops, adult dance classes such as hip-hop and ballet, and children’s robotics and LEGO programs.

More information and registration details are available on the Roudenbush Community Center’s “Community Education Classes” page.
