The following information came from the Westford Police Department. Anyone arrested is innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
July 27, 5:18 p.m. – An officer arrived on Forrest Road for a possible house fire.
All doors were secure in the front and the officer entered the rear sliding door to confirm that the house was empty.
A neighbor indicated that the homeowner was currently boarding a plane to California.
At this point, the officer closed off Forrest Road near Groton Road.
It is believed that lightning started the fire.
Aug. 20, 9:30 a.m. – An individual at Edwards Beach contacted police to report a man who appeared to be intoxicated and was making other beach visitors uncomfortable during frequent recent visits.
The individual was a familiar sight on the beach and was not harmful, but had become a nuisance.
Police told the individual to call if the intoxicated man returns.
The individual followed up nearly two weeks later and said that the intoxicated man stopped drinking near the beach and believed there would be no further issues.
Sept. 15, 12:23 p.m. – Nicolas Simmons, 30, of Snow Drive in Littleton was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at the corner of Nabnasset and Brookside.
Simmons had a warrants for arrest on counts of alleged vandalism and disorderly conduct.
