In the meantime, feel free to download the “Bookmyne” app from the first page of the online catalog or from your phone/device’s app store. This app offers you the ability to log into your library catalog account, place holds and access your Overdrive account to see what your checkouts and holds.

June is sign-up month for all three of the Library’s Summer Reading Programs.  Adults are able to sign up for their program (think Kimball’s ice cream cones, weekly raffles and a lovely grand prize) online by going to the Library’s web site and clicking on the link “click here” in the paragraph that begins with “Build a Better World” will be the 2017 Adult Summer Reading Program theme.” Adults are also welcome to visit or call the Reference desk to sign up. Teens and Tweens are asked to sign up for their Program at the Library, but they get to sign up online for all of the events that they want to attend. To sign up online, go to the “Teens & Tweens Build a Better World” entry and then click on the blue link, “here.”

For children in grades five and under (and yes, 1- and 2-year-olds, can join to) sign-up time is always a “visit the Library in person” experience where children have one-on-one interactions with Children’s Staff. During sign-up children are invited to decorate a Lego brick (which on their next visit they will see up on the bulletin board) and pick up their logbook, a sticker and a bookmark. Parents are welcome to reserve tickets for any and all summer reading programs and events at sign up time or anytime or throughout the program.  After reading Program and Events schedule, parents can call the Children’s Department at (978-399-2302) to reserve tickets by phone.

Quadcopter Drones: How Did We Get Here and Where are We Going: Tuesday, June 6 at  7 p.m. Consumer drones, especially quadcopters, are becoming increasingly popular.  Some industries are already using them to assure faster delivery in their service areas. During this hour-long discussion, Dr. Bernie Malouin will review some of the key technology developments that make drones work.  He will even pop the hood on one of today’s most popular quadcopters and explain what’s inside.  Finally, he’ll talk a little bit about some of the exciting capabilities that await us.  No registration required.

The Library’s weekly “English Conversation Circle” meets every Tuesday in the Mary Atwood Hall at 10:30 a.m. This program offers the perfect opportunity for patrons to practice their English Conversational skills in a friendly, relaxed environment. Note: This drop-in group will not meet for several months after the Tuesday, June 13 meeting. The Conversation Circle will resume on Tuesday, September 26, 2017.
