Due to Covid numbers being on the rise, the start of this year’s concert series at Westford’s Performance Center for the Arts will be delayed.
Featured award-winning blues musician Michelle Willson and the Evil Gal Festival Orchestra will be rescheduled. The January 8 show has been postponed.
For up to date concert information, please check www.Westford.org/PCA.
The non-profit venue features cafe-style seating with a bring-your-own-bottle and appetizers policy, with plenty of space for safe distancing. And this year, until further notice, proof of vaccination is required.
The $25 general admission ($21 members/seniors, $12 youth 12 and under) is a small price to pay for what is advertised “as a passionate and gifted performer, bandleader and songwriter in Willson, who is also known as Evil Gal. The group won a prestigious W.C. Handy award for best unsigned blues act before her work on radio. For more than 3 years, Michelle hosted 2 weekly programs, “Voices of Jazz” and “Jazz n’ Blue” on one of the few remaining NPR music stations, WICN, in Worcester, MA.
The Evil Gal group is one of many shows scheduled for the upcoming season, which features an eclectic lineup of performers. For more information or to purchase tickets [reservations are not necessary but recommended] visit the PCA website or FB page.
