Thursday afternoon’s gymnastics meet at Westford Academy’s main gym saw the Ghosts

Ellie Cioffi soared into second place during Thursday’s meet against Cambridge.

take down division rivals Cambridge Rindge and Latin, 135.3-107.1. Spearheaded by super-sophomore Maggie Murphy, Westford, now 2-0 on the young season, captured first place in every event.

Mina Kiefer, senior captain, hangs on to a third place finish at Thursday’s meet in the main gym.

Murphy won highest marks in vault, bars, beam and all-around. Senior captain Ellie Cioffi was second in all those disciplines while edging out Murphy on the floor exercise. Murphy and Cioffi finished first and second in all the exercises.

Westford Highlights – Seniors Ellie Cioffi and Mina Kiefer not only compete for high school together but are teammates for their club gymnastics team as well. They balance each other out and support one another as best friends do. Scoring at the top of the board on each event. Sophomore Maggie Murphy continues to be a showstopper scoring 2 9.4’s tonight and high 8’s!
