WESTFORD — The Parkerville Schoolhouse recently held its annual open house – where residents could explore the building and view century-old artifacts from Westford.

Since 1995, over 10,000 third grade students have participated in the Parkerville Schoolhouse’s “Old School Day.” Students play old-fashioned games, learn local history, dip-pen writing and are fed authentic meals.

The building is currently undergoing renovations from $50,000 in Community Preservation Act funding.

The schoolhouse is available for meetings and parties for up to 50 guests. Residents may contact Heidi Hatke at 978-392-6827 to rent the space.

Donations can be made online or mailed to the Friends of the Parkerville Schoolhouse, Inc. at P.O. Box 466, Westford, MA 01886.

The open house was originally hosted on Nov. 6.
