Members elect new directors at WestfordCAT’s annual meeting

WESTFORD – WestfordCAT is proud to welcome three of our newest members to its Board of Directors.

Mary Foerster

Born and raised in Watertown, MA; Mary attended college and graduate school at Catholic University of America (Wash DC). Foerster began working at AARP in 1974 while pursuing Master in Library Science graduate degree. She worked at AARP 17 years in National Gerontological Resource Center and State Legislation (Legislative Representative for the SW states). Foester managed State Government Affairs for MCI Long Distance Co; but returned to AARP on 9/11/2001 working on state legislation and diversity & inclusion.

In 2008 she left AARP to “flip” houses as a full time realtor. after returned to MA to be closer to family, she is currently a real estate agent at Keller Williams Merrimack Valley (in referral only).

Mary is the outgoing president (2023-24) of Rotary Club of Westford, an active member of several Rotary District 7910 committees and is the co-host and co-producer of Married to Real Estate Podcast (WestfordCAT). She enjoys her hobby as an amateur ballroom dancer. She is married to Carl Foerster, Lt. Col. USAF (retired) and mother of dedicated fitness trainer and employed pop singer, Christine Foerster Resident of S Chelmsford 06/22/24.

Mary was elected to the board for a two year term, 2024 – 2026.

Randy Tyndall

Randy has recently retired from UMass Lowell where he was the Principal Instructional Technologist covering a wide range of duties including: video production, editing, administration of the campus-wide lecture capture system, training of faculty on technology tools and most recently (during the initial COVID outbreak) helped all of the faculty transition over to Zoom along with handling the coordination for most of the webinars that UML and faculty needed during 2020-2022. 

Since December 2023 Tyndall has been volunteering his time at WestfordCAT to help with  video editing, writing training manuals, and helping to set up the new hybrid meeting equipment needed for Town Meetings.

Randy was elected to the board for a two year term, 2024 – 2026.


Laurie Oliver

Laurie Oliver was appointed as the Westford Public Schools liaison to WestfordCAT’s Board of Directors. Laurie currently serves on Westford’s School Committee.
