WESTFORD — The Westford Museum and Historical Society has shared a press release about an upcoming event.

The Westford Museum and Historical Society will host a talk on the lesser-known stories of loyalists during the American Revolution at 7 p.m. on Sept. 18 at the Westford Museum.

The lecture will be presented by Larry C. Kerpelman, Ph.D., a freelance writer and communications professional from Acton. Upon retiring as Vice President and Director of Corporate Communications after 30 years with the public policy research and consulting firm Abt Global, he turned to researching, writing and speaking on singular moments in American history. Kerpelman has written for American History, American Heritage, The Boston Globe, The Rochester Review, and The Chronicle of Higher Education. 

Kerpelman’s lecture will discuss the history of loyalists in the American colonies during the Revolutionary War. Reverend Hall was an individual who had ties to the town being one of the last remaining tories in Westford who “considerable opposition due to his political beliefs” at the time.

Suggested donation is $10 per person.
